ObliTARate - Tar and glue remover

Auto Finesse® ObliTARate is a solvent-based formula that quickly breaks down stubborn tar, glue residues, and other contaminants on contact, before you even touch your car. This minimizes the risk of scratching or marring your paintwork while extending the life of your detailing clay bar.

ObliTARate is powerful enough to dissolve even the toughest contaminants, such as traffic cone rash from auto-crossings, gaffer or duct tape residues, undercoating overspray, and factory protective wax coatings. Safe to use on modern painted surfaces, powder-coated finishes, glass, solvent-resistant plastics, bare metal, and brightwork trim, it’s the ideal solution for removing stubborn grime. However, it is a strong solvent, so we recommend caution when using it on fresh paint, SMART repairs, uncatalysed lacquers, or delicate vintage finishes. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, and if there is no hazing, swelling, or paint transfer, you can confidently proceed.

Application:

1. Start by ensuring the surface is clean and free from loose dirt and contamination.

2. Apply ObliTARate to the affected area and allow it to dissolve tar and glue residues.

3. Work in small sections, wiping away the product with a microfibre cloth.

4. Repeat the process if necessary for stubborn residues.

Please Note:

• ObliTARate does not come with a trigger sprayer.

• It should not be used on headlights.

• We advise against putting cloths with solvent-based products in the washing machine.
